Live Nation and Motorola expand Insomniac’s Discovery Project to stage, costume, and art design
As dance music continues to touch and expand into other aspects of pop culture, two major entities have joined forces to facilitate that growth and celebrate the artistry and innovation within the scene. Motorola and Live Nation began the Discovery Project as a platform for aspiring artists, showcasing their work at Insomniac’s various Electric Daisy Carnival events. What started as a directive aimed at finding DJs has now evolved into a full-scale project to spotlight artistic talents of all types.
This year, the program is adding three new competitions to the roster: stage production design, costume design, and art installation design. Each winner will have their piece showcased at one of Insomniac’s coveted festivals, with passes, airfare, and hotel accommodations all paid for (not to mention a new Moto X phone as well). They will be paired with a mentor, who will guide them along the way to prepare their pieces for the ultimate stage.
Details of each competitions are below. For full information, head to Discovery Project website.
