After helping shape a world cup anthem alongside Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Fatboy Slim, Diplo has let loose a remix of label-mate Dawn Golden’s “All I Need.” The Mad Decent mastermind brings the downtempo project to the studio only to flip it on its head, adding in sounds popularized by the grinding engineering of the trap genre. Serving as a promotional piece for Dawn Golden’s recent album, Diplo gives the one-man act room to let his vocal breathe before jumping in with an added element of aggression in his bass-centric portions. Seeing as the two artists shared a collaborative space leading up to the release of Dawn Golden’s Still Life, it is only fitting that the genre-traversing producer puts his twist on the jam.
