Touring up and down the East Coast and releasing a series of successful remixes aren’t the only things on DJ Mike Gazzo’s busy agenda these days. First, his recent edit of American Authors’ “Best Day of My Life” has garnered tons of attention, and now, he’s bringing fans another new tune to add to the ever-growing catalogue of Gazzo music. The New Jersey native’s brand new song is an electro house original that he calls “Funky Beats.” Backed with early support from the likes of Fedde Le Grand, Disco Fries and Cash Cash, Gazzo’s single is due out on May 12th through Fedde’s Flamingo Recordings.  “I wanted to make something that had a funky, groovy line that you would hear in a Stevie Wonder song,” Gazzo tells Dancing Astronaut. “But with a bounce you would feel at the main stage of a festival.” And “Funky Beats” delivers that wish, using a unique mix of sultry saxophones and crisp synths to create that perfect combination of playfulness and intensity.
