DA Premiere: Max Elto – Shadow Of The Sun (Mako & Michael Brun Remixes)
Swedish vocal duo, Max Elto (formerly know as Taped Rai), best know for their work with David Guetta on Nothing But the Beat’s “Just One Last Time,” enter original production territory on “Shadow of the Sun.” The pair, made up of Tom Liljegren and Alexander Ryberg, hand over their latest to Los Angeles’ Mako and Haiti’s Michael Brun for official remix duties.
Mako’s spin on the orignal builds a melodic foundation under “Shadow of the Sun’s” soaring top line. The tracks’s warped vocal stutters and gently panning synthwork swell into a sing-a-long certified peak time charmer.
Brun’s remix swaps the warehouse electro for classic progressive chordplay, allowing Max Elto’s already euphoric vocals to breathe amidst a wave of white noise and driven melodies. The more rambunctious of the two remixes, Brun’s adds a bit of edge to the mix and pushes “Shadow of the Sun” into peak time territory.
The “Shadow of the Sun” will be released on May 19th via Big Beat Records.
