Sidney Samson – Trojan (Original Mix)
Despite his relatively sparing output of late, Sidney Samson’s versatility has kept him a well-revered face on the European market. Off the heels of “Steal The Rain” alongside national songstress Eva Simons, Samson emerges with his second solo stint for Doorn Records with the heavy-footed “Trojan.” Initially thought to be in collaboration alongside past collaborator Martin Garrix, the track is testament to the adrenaline fuelled festival etiquette that has built his name since breaking through the commercial market with “Riverside.” Heavy on the claps and minimalistic in overall melodic substance, fans of Samson’s more commercial offerings may not quite be on the ball with this one, but this is a festival set piece sure to serve the long serving Dutchman well throughout the summer circuit ahead.
