Above & Beyond pres. Oceanlab – Satellite (ilan Bluestone Remix)
Anjunabeats Vol 11’s release date may have come and gone, but the Above & Beyond crew is far from done with the compilation. The two-disc celebration of the label’s talent hit #1 on the iTunes dance chart within 24 hours of release, and its many exclusives are just getting warmed up for their turn in the spotlight. After being debuted on the second disc, ilan Bluestone‘s rework of A&B’s Oceanlab effort “Satellite” has just been dubbed ABGT’s Record of the Week and will earn single status at the end of the month. Originally a hard trance track balanced out by Justine Suissa’s emotive vocals, “Satellite” gets a tasteful on-trend retune at the hands of the Londoner, who strips out the high BPM and puts an edged progressive structure embellished with cinematic strings in its place. If the ten-year old track put Oceanlab on the map, the ilan Bluestone remix is ensuring both the group and the single stay there.
