Basement Jaxx – Mermaid Of Salinas (Loco Dice Remix)
A week after Mark Knight got his hands on “Never Say Never,” another underground mainstay turns one of Basement Jaxx’s original mixes into something all their own. Joining a number of other renditions, Loco Dice highlights an extensive remix package with a masterful rendition of “Mermaid Of Salinas.” A deep bassline provides a daunting rhythm which permeates throughout the production, before an underwhelming synth emerges towards the end of the remix. Another solid addition to the discography of an underground staple, Loco Dice’s most recent remix also serves another finely tuned reinvention of a Basement Jaxx original.
