Nearly 35 years since their inception, Depeche Mode is still palpitating in the life blood of dance music. From Eric Prydz’s famous renditions to more recent works by AMTRAC and Gesaffelstein, remixes of the pioneering electronic band are never lacking. This time around, German techno and electro juggernaut Boys Noize takes on the group’s 2013 track “My Little Universe,” instilling plenty of ripping acid patches and quirky synthwork to re-contextualize the song for dark rooms and late nights. The intro of the song is possibly the most compelling, introducing a slower beat before Ridha’s techno onslaught commences.
