What started as a confrontation in the VIP section at Mansion Nightclub quickly turned fatal at the high profile establishment early Tuesday morning. Sources told NBC 6 South Florida that the victim in the shooting was Miami Heat player Norris Cole’s personal chef, Antaun Teasley. According to reports, after a brief confrontation 42-year-old Teasley was shot in the upper torso at 3:40am and quickly rushed to Jack Memorial Hospital’s Trauma Center where he passed away.

As of writing detectives are currently interviewing witnesses to identify possible suspects. For those concerned for safety within the club, police spokesperson Bobby Hernandez re-assured NBC 6 that “A shooting inside a club is very rare, in fact I don’t remember the last time we had a shooting inside the club, it might have been more than 10 years ago.”
