Fehrplay – Everywhere You Go (Original Mix)
Norwegian trailblazer Fehrplay has emerged as one of the most versatile players to bless the ranks of Pryda Friends to date. Making an unprecedented debut on Ultra Music this month, “Everywhere You Go,” emerges as the first of a string of singles cut from his earlier three-track promo mix, setting the tone of things to come significantly high at the outset of the summer season. Foremost, the track affirms the notion that Jonas Von Der Fehr has long outgrown the ranks of a Prydz protégé. Channeling his own original take on the deeper remits of house music whilst never vying from that uplifting melodic penchant that has come to hallmark a Fehrplay original cut.
Jonas told Dancing Astronaut: ‘I was always a big fan of that 90’s cheesy piano house sound. “Everywhere You Go” was my attempt at capturing that nostalgic feeling of a summery piano riff while mixing it up with some funky energetic baselines. The track has been a work in progress over a long time now, so it was great to hand it over to Ultra and finally let it do the rounds. This is a sound I am really influenced by right now, so expect more in this style from future projects.’
With two more tracks still to emerge from the mix and rumor of yet more label hopping antics from the fast ascending Scandinavian for 2014, this record deal signed behind the decks in New York is sure to prove an essential piece of the puzzle that is Fehrplay’s year of global reckoning.
