Jason Burns – Do Without (Beckwith Remix) [Preview]

Bearing a label-hopping vantage point over the modern market, Beckwith’s mission statement has played pretty relentlessly to date. The Kansas-born, New York-based producer refuses to shift on the overarching belief that as experimentation aside, house music’s original hallmarks continue to hold weight on the modern dance floor. His remix of Jason Burn’s incoming Love & Other B-side “Do Without” is testament to this musical conviction, warping the original into a murky and groove-orientated house bomb with somewhat sinister undertones. Charged with nostalgic sounds and crisply tailored to the unpretentious side of the market, the American talent does what so many so-called genre advocates often claim to do, but so often miss the target. It’s upfront house music at its most unapologetic and it’s exactly why Beckwith is one of the genre’s leading properties here in 2014.

Release date: June 30th
