Live Nation and Facebook have created an ‘Official Events’ tab on artist pages that link directly to the Ticketmaster purchase pages. Jay-Z and Beyonce were the first to debut the tab on their respective Facebook pages earlier this month. Users who ‘save’ or ‘join’ an event will be notified by Facebook of when tickets will go on sale and the four shows closest to their location.

“This will benefit millions of concert fans, and this launch could not have been possible without the collaboration with both artists and their management teams,” said Ryan Okum, EVP of digital marketing for Live Nation U.S., in a statement.

The feature will be made available for sports, theater, and family events in the near future.
