Mat Zo contributes ‘Robots Never Lie’ to upcoming movie ‘Robot Overlords’ soundtrack
Mat Zo skillfully balances more than a handful of duties as an artist: From releasing a weekly mix to continuing his crusade of free music releases, the UK producer stays busy. His latest venture lands him on the soundtrack of the upcoming science-fiction thriller film, Robot Overlords. Though the British film won’t see a cinematic release until 2015, Mat Zo’s “Robots Never Lie” is already primed as an electrifying infusion of drum ‘n’ bass and electro. Matan explains his inspiration behind the yet-to-be-previewed track: “There was a great bit of speech [from the movie] with ‘Your heart is beating at 174 times per minute,’ so I knew it had to be 174 BPM drum ‘n’ bass. It turned out to be one of the hardest projects I’ve ever done, but I’m really proud of it.”
Robot Overlords is expected to premiere in early 2015, and “Robots Never Lie” will be featured as the final tune during the film’s ending credits.
