Naxxos – New Orleans (Original Mix) [Preview]

Spinnin Records entered 2014 with a plan to radically expand its musical scope and to date, it’s been a relatively successful stint. Whilst still predominantly holding the big room market on dance floors and the Beatport charts alike, its Spinnin Deep offshoot has made considerable waves with the genres calmer remits. Past the wrath of Watermat’s quirky gem “Bullit,” the equally mysterious Naxxos takes the driver’s seat to give his ten cents on the label’s unfolding mission statement.

From the very outset, “New Orleans” garners all the hallmarks of an infectious commercial house hit. From it’s core vocal sample through the luscious piano and saxophone hooks, every element of the track sticks from the very play, showing perhaps the most striking example of where catering to the radio-friendly market can be exercised without compromise on quality.  We’re seeing a lot of efforts to balance the house market with commercial prospects right now from labels established, new and outside the global dance sphere, but Naxxos dons Spinnin Deep a potential summer game changer sure to cater to the genre’s bigger picture throughout the remainder of the year.

Release date: June 30
