The opening track to Bassnectar’s new album is a cinematic thriller

The road to Bassnectar’s new album has been paved with plenty of delightful surprises along the way, yet yesterday proved perhaps the sweetest yet. While Lorin has teased a few different songs from NVSB, new track “F.U.N.” with Seth Drake is easily the most awesome thus far. The song introduces itself like a prodigious play with a symphonic welcoming fit for an elegant theater — or rather — a massive outdoor amphitheater like Red Rocks where it served as Bassnectar’s opener earlier this month. Following this glorious introduction, Lorin flips the track on its head, weaving an insidious bassline alongside swelling white noise and his typically top notch drum work.

In his own words, “this is the opening track of the Noise vs Beauty album, and sums up the spirit of what the album is all about — extreme contrasts creating a harmonious sound clash!”

Release Date: June 24th
