Weekend Rewind: Sander van Doorn – Apple (Bart B More Remix)

The year 2008 was a successful and significantly defining time for dance music elite Sander van Doorn. He released his debut artist album Supernaturalistic through Spinnin’ Records and launched his own imprint Doorn Records, all while winning the IDMA award for “Best Breakthrough DJ” (beating Axwell, Calvin Harris and deadmau5). One doesn’t go about becoming part of dance music’s contemporary greats without making a handful of good decisions along the way, including knowing exactly who to select to remix your material. Fellow Dutchman Bart B More took Sander’s own early Doorn Records release “Apple” and unleashed the record’s stunning electro house potential. Between the simple but mesmerizing synth-work and contagiously rhythmic percussion patterns, Bart B More fashioned an elegant yet energetic record that still stands out among the producer’s eclectic discography.
