The only thing better than one Billboard chart-topper is two, and that’s just what The White Panda delivers in “Cooler Than Latch.” A mashup between Disclosure‘s inescapable hit and Mike Posner‘s 2010 throwback, the tune first appeared in the bi-metropolitan pair’s Bearly Legal mix album, but is now getting solo release. A happy union of Sam Smith’s rapturous lyrics and Posner’s groovy instrumental melody, “Cooler Than Latch” is in fact cooler than “Latch” – or at least pulls it from a low-key garage to an 80s dance party. Instantly recognizable and just as quickly lovable, the mashup, like every Panda production, is available for free download now.
