Originally released as part of Porter Robinson‘s debut EP on OWSLA, “The Seconds” was an integral part of a breakout project for the then up-and-coming producer from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Three years later the American superstar has gone in a different direction altogether, although tracks from early in his career are still receiving support and new interpretations. The most recent comes from NGHTMRE and Davey Gray, who unite and augment “The Seconds” with an impactful chord punch that’s warped around intermittent claps and Jano’s effortless vocal touch. Despite the recent number of releases from Porter Robinson that have enticed producers to remix them, NGHTMRE and Davey Gray have remixed a fan favorite and done so with a unique modern touch.
