RL Grime offers ‘Core’ ahead of LP release
Henry Steinway, best known by his dual personalities, Clockwork and RL Grime, is gearing up to release his debut LP as the trap mongering latter identity. Garnering some serious buzz around his latest collection, Core, RL Grime is offering an early stream of the LP’s title track as anticipation continues to grow.
“Core” opens with a call to attention as booming drum arrangements introduce the tune. The track builds with crisp snare hits and as it breaks, Grime drops in a quick vocal sample before gyrating siren synth work takes over. Matched with bulldozing waves of bass, RL Grime’s signature party-fueling sound shines through in impressive fashion. Previewing what we can expect from the multifaceted producer’s forthcoming studio release, “Core” is a gripping first cut from what should be one of the biggest trap releases of the year.
