Steve Aoki launches new interactive SiriusXM radio show with listener-generated countdown

Engaging fans is nothing new to Steve Aoki; it’s practically the name of his game. Known to best engage his audiences in live settings, he’s now taking a similar approach (sans cake) with the launch of his new SiriusXM radio show. The weekly broadcast dubbed Steve Aoki’s Remix Rewind will feature a listener-generated countdown of not simply hits, but instead remixes as voted on by subscribers. The formula will hopefully expose lesser-known artists whom re-work popular music opposed to regurgitating the usual airplay superstars and gives fans the opportunity to judge the upcoming talents themselves.

While his former SiriusXM broadcast Aoki’s House via Electric Area will re-launch on August 2nd, the new concept kicks off on BPM and will air Sundays at 9pm EST.
