Yahoo and Live Nation reveal first phase of artist lineup for year-long live stream partnership

Yahoo and Live Nation went public in late April to announce a year-long partnership, promising to air a concert a day via the Live Nation Channel on Yahoo Screen in the hopes of bringing eager fans one step closer to attending a concert without being physically present. Now, FOMO has even less of a reason to exist.

The 365-day series of live concert streams will commence on July 15th with “A Very Special Evening with Dave Matthews Band” at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. Other notable artists to follow shortly thereafter include The Kooks, OneRepublic, Justin Timberlake and Usher, offering music fans of all backgrounds a diverse array of artists to choose from.

The union of the two companies will help bring millions together in the hopes of creating a more convenient, on-demand experience for those unable to see their favorite musicians live. In allowing greater accessibility for fans, the collaborative effort also plans on helping artists further extend their reach on a global scale.

On Monday, July 14th, individuals can register for text, email and calendar alerts regarding the concerts they wish to view. Yahoo Screen will be available through a number of different mediums such as iOS, Android, mobile Web, desktop, and select Smart TV platforms such as AppleTV and Xbox 360.
