After twisting the Adele classic “Rolling in the Deep,” into a macabre deep house output, Bender’s latest remix of ZHU’s “Cocaine Model” finds the producer going in the completely opposite direction.  Rather than keeping things dark, the New York-based deep pop talent brightens up ZHU’s slow-burning ode to a drug-addled love, installing pristine piano chords under the original’s ethereal top line. Toss in a shuffling sub bass and ankle-grabbing grooves and you’ve got another infectious and feel-good club cut perfect for the more sultry side of main stream dance music.
