Australian bass technician Wax Motif lends his future house talents to Virgin Records’ Eden xo’s “Too Cool to Dance.” While Fred Falke had previously dolled up the original in disco vibes, it’s Motif’s genre-divergent style that establishes his remix at the top of the heap. An ambling sub bass presents itself as the backbone of the remix before the entire ship switches gears, dropping into a trap-laced break that slowly crawls amidst a spattering of snares. It’s a unique fusion of pop dance and warehouse grit that’s worthy of repeat listens.
