Flosstradamus feat. Elkka – Rebound (Original Mix)
When thinking of Flosstradamus, green, hdygrlz, hdybyz and mosh pits often come to mind. Yet when closing out their Mad Decent Block Party set in Brooklyn this past weekend, Josh and Curt chose to flaunt their gentle, more melodic side with a new original mix entitled “Rebound.” Hands and flickering cell phones swayed in unison as the pair announced the new track, their boldly-lit signature warning sign saturating the LED screen behind them. Elkka’s warming vocals blanket Flosstrdamus’ feathery synth work and sheer 808s to beget one of the more ethereal tracks of 2014. Though the duo’s hearts will always be in high-energy trap, their fruitful shift in style displays a a level of finesse and maturity few have been able to fully achieve.
