Jack U unveil official SoundCloud, kick off with new track featuring Kiesza
Jack U made their descent upon the dance world 16 months ago, sneaking in through a Mad Decent Block Party lineup and building their collaborative brand through the traveling event ever since. It is only fitting then that the first track on their brand new SoundCloud account comes from the party’s Brooklyn stop. Played out by Diplo at Coney Island’s MCU Park earlier this month was “Take U There,” the brand new Jack U collaboration with Canadian vocalist Kiesza. A high-energy lyric-laced trap cut heavy on the bass, the track made its live US debut with an appearance from the “Hideaway” singer herself, who brought some serious moves along with her pipes. For those keeping close tabs on Skrillex and Diplo’s project, “Take U There” is indeed the same track Diplo played out in France in July, and Diplo did in fact promise that a full-length Jack U album was in the works. With the birth of the duo’s SoundCloud page, we can only hope that album is one step closer to completion.
