Mystery Skulls – Paralyzed (Etnik Remix)
Mystery Skulls first released “Paralyzed” – a brooding synth pop track – in the summer of 2012. In the summer of 2013 he signed with Warner, and now in the summer of 2014 we’re finally getting a “Paralylzed” re-release, complete with remixes and a new video. Though the full package is stellar, the standout definitely comes courtesy of OWSLA’s Etnik, whose stormy techno is a perfect fit for the original. It’s reminiscent of much of Gesaffelstein’s work, but the haunting vocals somehow give it a poppier feel. The Paralyzed remix package, which also features versions from Aeroplane, Ghosts of Venice, Jimmy Edgar, Magna, and Mark E, is out now via Warner Bros.
