Kaskade releases latest mashup, ‘Please Say Quick Quack’

Though just released, Kaskade‘s latest mashup magic is nothing new to the producer’s ardent fan base. “Please Say Quick Quack” found a major spotlight earlier this year at Ultra Music Festival and has been cycling mysteriously through the producer’s festival set lists all throughout the summer season. The mashup, combining his own “Please Say You Will” with Patric La Funk and DBN‘s “Quick Quack,” may be the newest release from Kaskade, but is only one of the extensive catalogue of mashups that the Los Angeles-based producer has already released.

So extensive is his experience in mashups that Ryan Raddon previously dedicated an entire Tumblr post to the subject and their politics. Though his more recent clash with SoundCloud now points him away from releasing “Please Say Quick Quack” as a free download, many of his other famed mashups like “Be Still Ladi Dadi” and “Something Something Champs” continue to live on on the platform. “These mashups are an aural equivalent of a collage,” Kaskade sums up within his blog post. “A juxtaposition of song fragments put together to create a new piece of art. This brings us full-circle … this is the essence of DJing, after all.”
