100% Pure stalwart turned melodic tech house maestro Mario Ochoa has done some incredible things with his versatile sound already for 2014. Off the heels of liberal groover “Zero,” the Columbian spinner debuts on Toolroom Records with considerable gusto for a definitive first for both parties. Chunky, groovy and liberal with the filters, “Conjuro” is the next great precedent setter in Ochoa’s stance on the genre. Having once been dominated by a cheesy undertone and somewhat bastardized with unoriginal stamina, tech house is beginning to show signs of resurgence in its creative capacity. For all his scattered contributions, Mario Ochoa looks to remain at the forefront of this increasingly promising spike for the sound moving forward.
