Pioneer moves to sell its entire DJ equipment division

The leading manufacturer of DJ equipment, Pioneer, is currently in the final stages of selling off the entire division. For years, Pioneer has lead the charge in the DJ tech space, playing an integral role in the rapid adoption of DJing by way of its ground-breaking CDJ and mixer technology.
According to inside sources, the sale of its mixer, CDJ and speaker business would net the company approximately $570 million. Despite a profitable financial year, the company is selling off its non-core assets to focus on automotive electronics.
As reported by Reuters, Pioneer has hired Bank of America Merrill Lynch to handle the transaction with some high power private equity firms among the final bidders.
