As of Tuesday, Spotify has officially opened its doors to users in Canada bringing Spotify to its 58th nation worldwide. Spotify made sure to provide an abundance of local music for Canadians and included a library of songs for French-speaking Quebec. Spotify’s Canada’s launch partners included Diet Coke, Honda Canada, Heineken, Subway, and TD. The Copyright Board of Canada ruled that all streaming services must pay 10 cents in royalties per every 1000 plays.
