T.I. – No Mediocre ft. Iggy Azalea (Grandtheft Remix)
While anyone who has flipped on the radio in recent months has heard T.I. proclaiming he wants no mediocre, Canada’s Grandtheft has created a remix that makes the original look just that. Throwing a fur jacket on the rapper’s simply dressed rhymes, the trap star cranks the claps, bulks up the beat and makes secondary lyrics get out of a more sultry synth melody’s way. The fourth remix in a string that stretches from Calvin Harris to Schoolboy Q to Katy Perry, Grandtheft’s version of “No Mediocre” indicates that no boundaries exist to check his creativity. While the original will see release in T.I.’s forthcoming album, the world will have to wait a little bit longer for the Mad Decent member’s take.
