Escalating from heavy trance to heavy electro, W&W’s run as titans of heavy electronic music now comes to a crux as the duo collaborates with hardstyle poster boy Headhunterz. Willem and Ward have been inching towards elements as devastating as those sported by hardstyle residents, so this joining of the forces comes natural from both parties, neither having to depart too far from signature activity. One would imagine the end result was easily given its name, “Shocker” is a shot of energy to the respective fan bases of both entities, though it comes as more foreign to W&W’s audience than Headhunterz’s.
