Apple hints at Beats and iTunes merger for 2015 after struggling year for music sales

Apple’s three billion dollar acquisition of Beats Electronics is appearing to pay off best away from the Dr. Dre-driven headphones line, and more with its streaming service.. According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple plans to restructure, then relaunch Beats Music as part of iTunes sometime in 2015. This follows a year that had iTunes Store music sales dropping 13%. Major record labels may aid the cause of streaming, considering lowering licensing fees for the subscription service to become even more affordable per month.
