Daft Punk, Avicii, and Calvin Harris nominated for BMI’s Song of The Year
The largest electronic music presence ever is vying for BMI’s “Song of The Year.” Avicii, Daft Punk, and Calvin Harris have been pitted against one another for this year’s prestigious title. Among the non-electronic songs chosen are Avicii’s genre-blending “Wake Me Up,” Daft Punk’s storied “Get Lucky,” and Calvin Harris’s “I Need Your Love” with Ellie Goulding. Collectively, the dance songs will be battling an excess of mainstream music stardom for BMI’s “Song of The Year,” facing off against Miley Cyrus, Pitbull,Taylor Swift and more. The winner will be announced in London, England on October 13th.
