Eric Prydz announced as first Essential Mix of 2015 with a special back-to-back guest
After a huge year for progressive house factotum Eric Prydz, it seems 2015 will be starting out on the right foot too. Shortly after a marquee headlining bout at Madison Square Garden, along with double-header label collaborations with Mau5trap Records, Prydz will be charged with lead off Essential Mix duties to ring in the coming year.
The Pryda label head will take to the decks on Pete Tong‘s world renowned BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix show on March 1st, 2015. The news come with an equally exciting announcemen — the 2013 Essential Mix of the year winner will be going back-to-back with a surprise guest who has yet to be named for the two-hour duration of the studio session. The coming mix could feature collaborative foil Deadmau5, extending the power-pair’s joint mission into next year; But who knows? The special guest could be revealed as new label mate Jeremy Olander, who recently warmed the stage up for the immersive Epic 3.0 show — everything is purely speculative at this point but no less exciting.
As one of the most revered personalities driving the scene forward closes out an exciting year, Eric Prydz is already making bold moves towards 2015.
