Funkagenda teases ‘Embers’ from his forthcoming Burning Man-inspired EP
It’s common for a dust-coated attendee to return from Burning Man with a changed mindset and new vivacity for the future, but for Funkagenda, this year’s desert festival awoke a shift in his forthcoming music style. Throughout several of his recent social posts, Funkagenda has revealed that his upcoming EP will embody the spirit of his experiences at Burning Man this year. After drafting two new songs for said EP, the Los Angeles-based producer released the first of his techno collection, “Embers.”
A leap from his usual trance-influenced progressive house catalogue, “Embers” pumps the darker, persistent beats and deeper strokes of underground techno. Under his personal name on Twitter, Funkagenda expressed that the handful of new tracks he’s now working on are even better than “Embers,” though he has yet to announce a date for Burning Man-inspired EP to drop.
