LA’s Greek Theater bidding war between Live Nation and AEG postponed

Live Nation and AEG’s bidding war for a 10-year contract to operate LA’s Greek Theatre has been postponed another 2 weeks to allow the Department of Parks and Recreation more time to go over the submitted proposals. The next meeting on the operational agreement is scheduled for Thursday, October 23rd. The deal to manage and operate the city-owned amphitheater will be worth hundreds of millions of dollars over the course of the next decade. In a meeting held on October 1st, the governing agency had scored Live Nation’s proposal slightly higher than AEG’s as their proposal included over 1,400 events over 20 years and offered the city $36.2 million in rent over the first 10 years of the contract.
