Porter Robinson cancels Germany, France, and Finland stops for upcoming European Worlds tour

As Porter Robinson ties up the last few stops of his US Worlds tour and begins to prepare to take on Europe, a decision made by the producer himself has cancelled the Germany, France, and Finland stops. In a Facebook announcement, Porter explained his choice to call off the three shows:

“Over the course of the Worlds tour in North America, it became super clear that a certain sized venue is needed to communicate my vision for Worlds with the video and light production that is so crucial to the show. We’d originally booked smaller venues in Germany and France and thought they could work, but it’s now clear they can’t.”

Already prepared to deflate angry comments and questions about the decision, Porter was quick to explain that the choice was not financially driven, but rather one forced by his commitment to his creative experience. “The tour is 100% a labor of love […] I’m losing money to ensure that these shows are awesome,” he continues. “The shows I’ve had to cancel wouldn’t have been something I’m proud of.” Refunds will be issued for all affected shows and the North Carolina native ended his post with a promise to return to perform in the areas as soon as possible.
