Since its inception in 2011, Monstercat has served as one of the most compelling platforms in electronic music. Over the years, the Vancouver-based label has hosted everyone from Project 46, to Krewella, to Pegboard Nerds. While the project has since grown exponentially, the label has maintained its artist-driven ethos throughout.

One of Monstercat’s newest signings is Aero Chord, a Greece-based producer turning heads in the bass music world. With support from Jack Ü, Seven Lions, What So Not and more, his newest original is definitely worthy of your attention. Teaming up with Anna Yvette for “Break Them,” Aero Chord shows off his dangerous duality: engrossing melodic progressions mixed with trap-leaning brutality.

He said of track: “The idea for the main theme of ‘Break Them’ is that in this world, nothing is given away for free to you. Every achievement and goal conquered in life is like the taking of a castle. It’s not pretty or magical it takes hard work and breaking your opponents down.”
