Recently called upon to re-interpret Deadmau5 and Kaskade’s “I Remember” for the 5 Years of Mau5 double album, Dirtybird and Cuff member Shiba San has been making moves this year. Best known for producing this summer’s most played hit, “Okay,” Shiba San returns to remix duties with a new translation of Destructo’s “Dare You 2 Move.”
Hand-picked by Gary Richards himself, the French producer raises eyebrows across the board by playing up a slower-paced, more minimalist framework — one that accents the gritty basslines for which he is often celebrated. Taking several steps away from his traditionally deep grooves, Shiba San showcases his appreciation for darker flavors.
