The Magician – Magic Tape 47

There may be a magician’s torso gracing the cover of Magic Tape 47, but nowhere does it actually say the Magician‘s name; the series is popular enough that an enormous segment of the indie, disco, and house music communities know exactly what to expect the second they see the phrase “Magic Tape.” Will you recognize many of the songs included in this mix? Of course not. But will you love and cherish each and every one of them? Almost certainly. It may be poor form to judge a book by its cover, but the words on the cover of Magic Tape 47 tell you all you need to know about the mix: trust the Magician and just hit “Play.”
