RL Grime’s debut LP is now streaming in full ahead of official release

Trap-heads rejoice. Void is finally here. RL Grime announced his first full-length studio release earlier this year, and anticipation for the trap lord’s forthcoming material has only continued to grow with each passing week. Teasers and singles have made their way to fans already, with “Core” introducing the ominously titled LP with some of RL’s finest. “Scylla” and “Kingpin” have bolstered excitement prior to next week’s official release via Wedidit Records, but now the entire LP is available for your listening pleasure.

Exploring hollow, mysterious chasms of sound, Void is trap music that takes itself really seriously, as any debut album should. A notable roster of collaborators also lend their additions to Henry Steinway’s introductory offering. From Djemba Djemba to Boys Noize, the album reflects RL Grime in dominating form, and represents his meticulous hard work in putting together a cohesive collection of stomping bass tracks. Spanning 12 tracks but doing one genre better than anyone else, RL Grime is redefining trap music in a way nobody else can.

Check the earliest listen over at Pitchfork and be sure to keep an eye out for the official release on November 17th.
