Eight months ago, Converse released its first-ever Converse Cons EP, which featured tunes by forward-thinking experimental hip hop artists. Now, Converse returns with the second volume in the EP series with a bit of a twist. Featuring a fusion of EDM, rock and hip hop from artists such as Trash Talk, Bad Rabbits and Flatbush Zombies, one of the compilation’s stand out singles is this collaboration between American rapper Kevin Gates and Scottish producer Rustie. Titled ‘Wait In Line,’ the track is an up-beat power blend of grungy electro house and hip hop. Don’t mistake it for trap, though… aside from Gates’s rap vocals, the tune more closely resembles a full-bodied rock anthem constructed out of electronic synths and topped off with a booming, deliberate bass line.
