The Strokes front-man reveals more on ‘weird’ unreleased collaboration with Daft Punk

The voice from Daft Punk‘s ‘Instant Crush’ off Random Access Memories, Julian Casablancas revealed a second collaboration with the French superstar producers this past March. Casablancas recently interviewed with Revolt TV, and dished some more information on the unreleased track, which he describes as “modern weird”, “cool weird”, “super bizarre” and just “weirder than any song on the record that I know of.”

In the interview, Casablancas tells fans it’s “definitely not one tenth as pop-u-licious as “Instant Crush.” What it is, however, is “just really weird.” The lead vocalist of the rock band The Strokes, Casablancas told interviewers he had recently been on the phone trying to convince Daft Punk to release the tune. As of yet, no release date has been announced. You can watch the Revolt TV segment below.
