Sister duo, Tegan and Sara, are well-known for their catchy duet dynamic that keeps both pop fans and indie hipsters content. They made their dance music debut in a not-so-subtle fashion back in 2009 with Tiësto hand-picking them for his hit single, “Feel It In My Bones.” The nature of their voices caters equally to dance and indie music, making their acapellas an attractive option for remixers.
Manila Killa, aka half of Hotel Garuda, made his mark in 2014 with countless vibey remixes of artists like London Grammar and Dawn Golden. To end the year on a high note, the DC-based producer has transformed Tegan and Sara’s original, “Walking With A Ghost,” into a playful, tropical smash. Manila sets a whimsical mood keeping the synths light and airy alongside a percussion arrangement that makes your head bob from start to finish.
