Alesso supplies ‘Heroes’ with one of the year’s biggest remix packages
“Heroes” took airwaves by storm immediately after being released — an unforeseen (although previously self-proclaimed) uprising from Alesso. Tove Lo’s vocal contribution on the track would soon become a staple in radio and pop culture, making the record the young swede’s most successful hit since “Calling.” Although already acclaimed as well as any dance track of 2014, the movement had only begun.
Kicking off with an in-season deep house rendition from Amtrac, the unveiling of the “Heroes” remix package was underway. Impressive efforts would follow from Jai Wolf, Salvatore Ganacci, and Branchez soon after. The mixes racked up over 4 million SoundCloud streams before the collection had even been released. Now full-circle as one of dance music’s biggest remix packages to follow the likes of ZHU’s “Faded,” Alesso’s “Heroes” has been released as a seven-track offering with versions from the aforementioned producers, as well as Grandtheft and Hard Rock Sofa & Skidka.
