Apster & Deuces – Blackbox (Original Mix)
When it comes to the electro house tendencies of Afrojack’s Wall Recordings, very few artists grasp the imprint’s trademark style more consistently than label faithful Apster. For his latest collaborative release, Apster taps newcomer Dutch duo Deuces to help lend a fresh perspective to a classic dirty Dutch sound. Their collective single, “Blackbox”, begins by implementing dynamic pitch-bending melodies combined with adrenaline-pumping progressions. Through hard-hitting sequences of triplet bleep leads and synth embellishments, the Dutch threesome craft an explosive climax worthy of the Wall name. Though “Blackbox” is Deuces’ official debut release, the young pair have exercised their production talents on past high-profile successes in this sonic territory, most notably on Afrojack and Chris Brown’s 2013 pop hit, “As Your Friend”.
