Cazzette made a drastic change this year when they reimagined their sound from harder, electro-progressive house to groovy, funk-infused deep house. Their two hits of the year, “Sleepless” and “Blind Heart (ft. Terri B),” emerged amongst 2014’s deep house craze, with both tracks receiving their fair share of remixes. DC/LA-based duo, Hotel Garuda, broke through this year as well with their addictive, bass-driven remixes and are anticipated to make even bigger strides in 2015. This week, the duo have teamed up with tropical house producer Thero to flip Cazzette’s darker single, “Sleepless,” into a tropical groove train with all the works: saxophone, sun-touched flutes, bongos and more.
