Claude VonStroke – Vocal Chords (Craig Williams Remix)

If the original meant to imitate a more human sound, Craig Williams‘s remix of Claude VonStroke‘s aptly titled ‘Vocal Chords’ is its robotic counterpart. Punchy and halting (in an almost nerve-wracking way), the remix nixes all the bass-y roundness of the original and switches the focus to percussion. Whereas VonStroke’s original is clean, ethereal and has depth, William’s remix is choppy, grating and edgy, making it a tad better suited for a dance floor.
