DJ Fresh feat. Ella Eyre – Gravity (Zeds Dead Remix)
Sometimes artists are able to create a style so distinct that just hearing that sound, even from across a packed festival venue, means you immediately know who’s playing. Since their humble beginnings, Zeds Dead have tapped into their ultra-distinguishable sound and helped thrust bass music into the limelight. Not only this, but DC and Hooks have mastered their ability to inject that sound into various genre-spanning originals and hair-raising remixes. Their latest work comes as a tempo-warping rendition of DJ Fresh‘s newest track, “Gravity.”
The Canadian duo takes DJ Fresh’s collaboration with Ella Eyre from a smooth drum n’ bass cut down to a head-banging dance selection, marked by their infectious, robotic synths. The original grips tightly to the crisp vocal work, whereas the remix places the vocals in more of a backseat role, allowing the sharp punches and swift sample clips to accentuate the thundering layers of bass.
The remix will be officially released with DJ Fresh’s Gravity in early February 2015.
